Glenna Thomson is the author of three novels that have established her reputation as an author who explores the complexity and frailty of relationships, through themes of motherhood, aging, and the universal and timeless quest for purpose and meaning.
After a successful career in overseas aid, and as a senior executive with a global food company, Glenna, and her husband, spent several years living and working on a cattle property and commercial blueberry orchard in rural Victoria. That experience has enabled her to write authentically about life in the city as well as in remote locations. She now lives in inner Melbourne.
An experienced media performer, Glenna enjoys speaking at events and meeting readers. She has promoted her novels on television, has done numerous radio and print interviews, and been a guest speaker at many libraries, literary events and women’s functions.
Glenna’s most recent novel, Gone is a gripping rural crime novel of a grieving family and their forty-year journey to discover the truth. It was published by Penguin Random House in early 2024 and has been shortlisted for the 2025 Davitt Sisters in Crime Award. Her previous novels were Blueberry (2017) and Stella And Margie (2018).
