Bethany Loveridge

Bethany Loveridge

Bethany Loveridge is a passionate educator, curriculum expert and children’s author/illustrator. In 2024 she signed six publishing agreements with Wombat Books, with her debut middle grade releasing in September 2025. She also has a picture book with Little Book Press scheduled for release in early 2026 (illustrations by Chris Kennett).

Bethany is also the co-founder of PERENTIE PRESS with publisher and founder of Wombat Books, Rochelle Stephens and has won various awards and prizes, including the 2023 Book Links Mentorship, a 2022 ASA/Copyright Agency Award Mentorship, and received a 2021 Kill Your Darlings Mentorship.

Bethany has published essays in The Bursar and Education Australia’s Resource Guide and has developed teaching and learning resources for World Science Festival, State Library Queensland, Queensland Museum, Brisbane City Council and Queensland Art Teachers Association. Most recently, Bethany worked in curriculum development, devising and supporting implementation of the Film, Television & New Media Senior Syllabus. Bethany is an experienced presenter and arts education advocate and holds the role of SCBWI Assistant Regional Advisor, Queensland.
