Prior to moving to Australia, Kelly worked in marketing and PR for a London-based film studio writing press releases and promotional material. She also completed a course in screenwriting at the London College of Communication, with a focus on writing for TV.

Kelly particularly enjoys stories that manage to impart an optimistic message about diversity, pride and acceptance and hopes to reflect this in her own writing.

Kelly’s glorious debut picture book, The Style Secrets of Gareth McGreen, will be published in 2025 by Scholastic Australia, and she has two more books scheduled for release with Scholastic in 2026.
